7:30am, we leave Joshua Tree: 67 degrees. Get onto 29 Palms Highway at 7:40: 73 degrees. One hour later, we reach Palm Springs: now 93 degrees. The high today will be 107. Thankfully, I’ll be home soon.

I went to the grocery store last night around 8:15. The “feels like” temp was 102. The actual temp was still in the 90s. Gotta love Texas, where it's summer 10 months out of the year.

I grew up there. The heat isn’t so bad once you’ve used to it. Desert heat > southern heat.
